This is the redesigned 2018 Volkswagen Polo, and it comes with a slew of new features that make it even more like a smaller Golf model than ever before.
The sixth generation Volkswagen Polo took to the stage in Berlin to continue the model’s success story – with more than 14 million Polo models sold to date, it is the most successful vehicle in its class.
What’s different for the 2018 model? For starters, it’s the biggest version of the Polo ever made. VW are quick to point out the longer wheelbase that increases and “perfects” the car’s excellent ride comfort. With more room for everyone on board, the car also benefits from a large boot space, growing by 25% to reach 351 litres of storage.
New technology brings the 2018 Volkswagen Polo to the forefront of advanced vehicles. Front Assist, Blind Spot Detection, ACC and LED headlights as found in the Golf class show that the Polo now plays in a higher league. This is further reinforced by the introduction of the Active Info Display to the Polo – the first time a Polo has had digital instruments. The Active Info Display in the new Polo is also the debut of a second-gen system that will likely roll out across the range over time.
From the start, the 2018 Polo will come in numerous trim levels; Trendline, Comfortline, Highline, GTI, Beats as well as a range of lifestyle packages. This will allow you to order a vehicle with plenty of options to make the car your own.
With a new exterior design that is muscular and expressive, VW still aim to set the bar for personalisation with the choice of 14 paint colours and 13 dashpad colours. With engines from 65PS to 200PS, the new Polo should be ideal for anyone.
The launch of the completely new best-selling 2018 Volkswagen Polo will be seen as a success in the compact car category.
