Audi has revealed that the Audi RS3 Sportback will be getting a refresh in time for a Geneva Motor Show debut in March.
The new RS3 Sportback adds 33bhp bringing the 2017 model to 394bhp. This lets the hot hatch hit 0-62mph in just 4.1 seconds thanks to the 2.5-litre five-cylinder TFSI engine. Just like it’s Saloon sibling, which is still unavailable to order, this model will be driven by a seven-speed dual-clutch S-tronic transmission with Quattro technology.
To sweeten the deal, Audi are also including Virtual Cockpit – which might be enough to convince someone to upgrade their car – along with a redesigned steering wheel and a tweaked dash that still keeps a luxurious, but sporty feel in the cabin.
The car comes standard with 19″ alloys, and you can add carbon-fibre brake discs as an optional extra. The front fascia has been updated to fit in line with the rest of the latest Audi range and you can choose to add optional matrix LED lights.
“With the new five-cylinder engine, the Audi RS 3 Sportback is at the head of its class and continuing that strong track record.”
STEPHAN WINKELMANN – CEO OF AUDI SPORT
Lower suspension, that huge black honeycomb grille, and the redesigned bumpers all give the RS3 Sportback a welcome polish. With the extra technology and power proving that Audi can still pump excitement through the refreshed A3 range.
Although the standard front sport seats come in black Nappa leather, Audi are eager to show off the white leather seat options in their promotional images – we feel this will be a popular choice for those looking to order the 2017 Audi RS3 Sportback.
