Volkswagen has confirmed that a Cabriolet version of its popular T-Roc range is on the way. A concept image shows us a glimpse of what to expect, but now that the T-Roc is available to order, it’s not hard to imagine what the model will look like with a convertible roof.
The design is reminiscent of the T-Cross concept that was tipped to be announced at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Whether the company has put the T-Cross on the backburner and decided to make this T-Roc Cabriolet instead isn’t clear, but we can’t help but get the feeling that the T-Roc is being fleshed out to be a replacement for the Beetle, which is also expected to be phased out alongside the recently discontinued Scirocco range. Although that would be the end of an era, sales for the Beetle will likely have declined over the recent years as SUV and mini-SUV models are becoming more popular among car buyers.
We’re certain that the Cabriolet model will be on the show floor at Geneva Motor Show and we’ll be on the ground bringing you all the latest pictures, videos and news of all Volkswagen’s announcements at the event.
