The all-electric large van will be present at the Miltion Keynes EV Experience Centre, on display from Friday 7th – Monday 10th December. Experts will be on hand offering practical advice on making the change over to electric.
For any Van owners & users considering making the switch to electric at some point in the future, quite a valuable knowledge boost will be available from experts at the EV Experience Centre in Milton Keynes.
There will most notably be the chance to see the new Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles e-Crafter, present this weekend.
The EV Experience Centre was the first brand neutral centre in the whole of the UK dedicated to electric vehicles – made possible through a partnership with ‘Go Ultra Low’. Which in turn, compliments Milton Keynes’ status as an Ultra Low City.
The all-electric e-Crafter debuted in the UK at the CV Shwo in Birmingham earlier on this year. Ever since, 4 UK fleets have tested the e-Crafter in real-world conditions, with the left-hand drive version currently on sale in certain markets in Europe.
UK pricing & specs have not yet been confirmed, however the model is expected to be available in right-hand drive sometime around mid-2021.
The e-Crafter is tailored to typical city operations with its 136bhp equivalent, high 290Nm output of torque, a reported range of 107 miles and a limited top speed of 56mph.
A lithium-ion battery is completely integrated into the underbody, meaning the vehicle’s entire cargo volume is fully usable, measuring in at 10.7m3.
The maximum payload comes in between 1.0 -1.75 tonnes.
