Audi has been showing off its latest TT RS models, the TT RS Coupe and the TT RS Roadster. Both sport a new aluminium five-cylinder engine, making it much lighter than its predecessor. The motorsport inspiration is obvious in that the Coupe clocks at 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds (the Roadster barely lags behind at 3.9 seconds). These second generation models are keen to draw attention with their RS styling – not least because of the fixed rear spoiler, honeycomb grille and double-pipe exhaust. You’ll definitely have all eyes on you if you’re driving one of these beasts, especially in that oh-so-elegant Nardo Gray paintjob.
LED lights are standard, but Audi are keen to flaunt their Matrix LED lights as an option. Other optional extras include the RS sport suspension, 20 inch wheels and carbon ceramic discs. If you’re going to go big, you might as well do it with a few option boxes ticked.
Virtual Cockpit is standard, and we particularly like the full-panel satnav right in the driver console. This paired with the multitude of controls on the sports steering wheel have us aching to give this car a run around the block.
UK sales will start soon, and we’ll have lease prices as soon as they’re available.
