Audi S5 Cabriolet

One of the nicest cabriolet models on display was the Audi S5 Cabriolet in Ara Blue with white leather seats. We take a look around in the video below.

It’s almost time for Cabriolet owners to put the roof down as temperatures are rising again, but the new Audi S5 Cabriolet was at Geneva Motor Show and looking stylish. The new model is moving into a whole new league with its newly developed 3.0 TFSI. The top model do the 0-62 in just 5.1 seconds. It features quattro permanent all-wheel drive and the eight-speed tiptronic as standard.

The sporty, elegant design of the S5 Coupe and Sportback translates perfectly to the open-top model, giving it a larger interior than before for more comfort and convenience. Throw in that new six-cylinder turbocharged engine to ensure top performance on this 354bhp car and you’ll be ready to tear up the streets in style.

The soft-top acoustic roof can be automatically lowered in just 15 seconds at speeds of up to 31mph, and only takes 18 seconds to put back up at the first sign of rain.

Seatbelt microphones comes as standard and, thanks to the all-new operating and display concept – including natural language voice control and free-text search – the driver can control all functions effortlessly and intuitively even with the roof open.

The driver can control all functions effortlessly and intuitively even with the roof open.

Standard features include xenon headlights, the Audi drive select dynamic handling system and partial leather seats. Intuitive, ergonomic operation comes courtesy of the Audi MMI radio plus with 7-inch colour display, seat belt microphones and the one-touch opening function for the soft top.

To ensure structural integrity and safety, Audi have made the body of the new S5 Cabriolet the stiffest in its class. That being said, their engineers were able to reduce the overall weight of the new generation by as much as 40 kilograms. Torsional stiffness has been increased by 40% meaning better handling and improved agility over previous models.

Additional struts in the body compared with the Coupe, and reinforced sills, make up for the absence of a fixed roof.

We’ll have offers for the new-shape Audi S5 Cabriolet very soon.
