The new Volkswagen Amarok is available to order now from Stable Vehicle Contracts. This model replaces the previous 2.0-litre TDI engine with the powerful 3.0-litre V6 engine.
It’s not just the engine that gets an upgrade in the Amarok V6, the facelift model also brings new cabin technology in the form of a touchscreen infotainment system along with the refreshed exterior design. This serves to modernise the vehicle while still ensuring that it is powerful enough to handle the most challenging of tasks.
Combining car-like comfort and technology with the ability to go off-road, UK customers are able to choose from selectable (with manual gearbox) and permanent (with auto) 4MOTION four-wheel drive.
With multiple trim levels, including a special edition trim, there are plenty of options in this exceptional vehicle to make your drive more enjoyable and safe.
The exterior is updated with the new front bumper and radiator grille design including front fog lights, new alloy wheels and a third brake light with LED technology. The all-new dash design incorporates Volkswagen’s MIB infotainment system with touchscreen, digital radio, bluetooth and new technology including the option of navigation.
The addition of Park Pilot and a rear-view camera when reversing add to the comfort, convenience and safety giving the driver and passengers piece of mind while manoeuvring.
The vehicle’s ability as a commercial machine remain unchanged thanks to the 2.52 metres squared load bed that can hold one Euro-pallet with ease.
All of this aside, the Amarok V6 can still handle a 0-62mph time of 9.1 seconds with a top speed of 114mph on the 201bhp engine, but there is also 221bhp engine that can overboost to 237bhp. All of this additional power is great, but the commercial applications extend further to the towing capability. Top spec models will now be able to pull 3.5 tonnes (a 0.3 tonne improvement from the last generation).
"The Amarok V6 can be driven very precisely thanks to the Servotronic electrically controlled power steering."
The trim specifications are the same as the previous models starting with the Startline and moving up to the Trendline and Highline. There is also a range-topping special edition Aventura trim level.
The Aventura adds, on top of the Highline’s already generous equipment list which includes bi-xenon headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights, a host of special features including 19-inch alloys. The bed of the Aventura’s cargo box also has a matt black Durabed coating. The interior is no less exclusive with the ‘Discover Media’ navigation system.
The Aventura also comes with the ParkPilot automatic parking system, which features front and rear parking sensors and a reversing camera. This model will be available in an exclusive paint finish; Ravenna Blue.
The Volkswagen Amarok V6 is an excellent choice for someone who is looking for a workhorse vehicle that can handle anything that it’s required to do – on road or off road. This would also be a great choice for someone looking to upgrade their current vehicle for something with more power, thanks to the 3.0-litre V6 engine.
