This new four-door saloon implements a new, progressive design language for Volkswagen vehicles. Concept drawings show that the Arteon will have sleek contours that portray an emotive outline. Tobias Sühlmann, Volkswagen Exterior Designer, explains: "At first sight, the Arteon arouses enthusiasm through its expressive design. It then surprises through its practical virtues. This combination is unique!" One of those practical virtues is a top-hinged and wide-opening tailgate that gives access to a huge boot space. The Arteon will replace the Volkswagen CC in the product range, so it will still sit above the Passat in the company's line-up. The new car will serve as an introduction for a new ‘horizontally accentuated’ brand look. The Volkswagen Arteon is expected to be launched in Summer 2017. We'll be keeping you updated, and we'll be on the ground at Geneva Motor Show in March for the first images and videos of this brand new model in the Volkswagen range.
