Although it is a concept designed to find out whether Americans will take kindly to more models, it certainly has a lot of inspiration from the existing Amarok. This five-seat double-cab pickup is the first pickup to use VW's MQB platform. With a slightly increased power to the Amarok, the Tanoak has a 3.6-litre V6 engine with a powerful 276bhp and 4Motion tech alongside an eight-speed automatic transmission. Huge LED lighting panels cover the front grille and rear of the truck. To impress Americans further, the Tanoak also sports 20" alloys and two towing hooks.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
We like the Atlas Tanoak design study - maybe a bit more if the LED lighting was toned down a bit - and we can't wait to see what this means for the future of the Amarok.
