The award-winning Volkswagen Polo is set to get a refresh in the form of the Volkswagen Polo Match Edition, which comes with new technology for added value while we wait for a model refresh in 2017.

The Match Edition gets new features such as the Car-Net App-Connect technology that allows you to connect your smartphone to the Polo – as long as it’s compatible – via a USB connection. This will use either Apple CarPlay, Android Auto or MirrorLink to bring your phone’s functionality to the infotainment touchscreen.

This means that if you use an app like Spotify, you’ll be able to control it from your infotainment system, and if you use an Android phone you’ll be able to control the functions using Google’s voice recognition.

Other new features include heated door mirrors with integrated indicator lights. The door mirrors will also electronically fold making the car more convenient for safety conscious drivers who don’t want their mirrors to get clipped off while parked up. There is also an auto-dimming rear-view mirror that has an LED rain sensor behind it that will turn on your wipers at the first sign of bad weather.

Volkswagen have also included Coming/Leaving Home lighting, which will leave your lights on for a short time after you leave your car to allow you to safely navigate away from the car without having to wander around in darkness.

The Polo Match Edition also comes with front and rear parking sensors, cruise control and 15″ alloys.

The Volkswagen Polo Match Edition should be available very soon, we'll let you know once you can order one through Stable Vehicle Contracts.
