GWM ORA UK has announced the release of its newest software update for the ORA 03, introducing a key entertainment enhancement: wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
This complimentary update is available to all existing and prospective customers and will be distributed through the brand's network of retailers across the UK.
When starting a journey in the ORA 03 for the first time, users with Apple or Android devices will see a message on the 10.25-inch integrated infotainment screen prompting them to connect and activate Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
Once connected, customers can enjoy features such as traffic-optimised navigation, music, calls and messages, voice assistance, third-party apps, and more.
This update has been meticulously designed and tested to ensure smooth operation with the ORA 03’s dual 10.25-inch split screens, allowing navigation information to be displayed on both the driver’s display and the main infotainment screen.
Customers can still access GWM ORA features like the "Hello ORA" voice assistant, which can control various vehicle functions such as climate control, window operation, ChargePoint location, radio, and more.
In addition, GWM ORA plans to introduce over-the-air (OTA) updates in the future, providing customers with even more flexibility in installing new software versions.
GWM ORA now offers two model variants of the ORA 03 in the UK: PURE+ and PRO+.
PURE+
The PURE+ model includes a high level of standard specifications, featuring a 48kWh battery with a WLTP range of 193 miles, wireless phone charging, facial recognition, electric front seats, app integration, and the 'Hello ORA' intelligent voice assistant.
PRO+
The ORA 03 PRO+ boasts an upgraded 63kWh battery with a WLTP range of 260 miles and additional features such as heated, cooled, and massage front seats, a heated steering wheel, a panoramic sunroof, a powered gesture tailgate, rear privacy glass, and advanced automatic parking assistance.
