Audi A4 Allroad Lease
If you are looking for a car that is impressive, capable and does the job of a fashionable SUV but still retaining the practicalities of an estate car, an Audi A4 Allroad lease is one to give some considerable thought to. Compared to the A4, it’s a bit more niche and a little less varied in the trims and engines department, but what it lacks for there, it more than makes up in practicality.
The Audi A4 Allroad engine choices are pretty straightforward. You have the option of a 45 TFSI petrol engine with 245hp and a 40 TDI diesel with 190hp. There are also two 3.0L V6’s. They all come with automatic transmission and Quattro all-wheel-drive systems. There’s only one trim choice though, which is the Sport.
The Audi A4 Allroad is 35mm higher than the A4 Avant, which gives it more off-road capabilities. It doesn’t feel bigger, though. In fact, it drives like a standard estate car. When it comes to corners, there is more body roll than the Avant, but not so much that it is a problem. It’s also marginally wider to help with off-roading, but it also gives it increased stability.
When it comes to choosing between diesel or petrol, the petrol model unsurprisingly is the more expensive of the two. The diesel not only is cheaper to run but holds its’ value more. Generally speaking, all of the A4 Allroad models cost more than their A4 Avant counterparts due to the extra weight it’s lugging about, complex systems and the height, which leads to more reduced aerodynamics.
The five-star Euro NCAP safety rating for the A4 saloon is applied to the A4 Allroad, which, if anything, will be marginally safer. This has all the usual safety systems you would expect from an Audi, such as plenty of airbags, stability control, ISOFIX points and anti-lock brakes. Not only that, but there is seatbelt monitoring, automatic headlights and wipers, tyre-pressure monitoring and pre-sense city monitoring, which can instantly stop the car at speeds of up to 52 mph if the sensors detect a crash is about to happen. The Audi A4 Allroad is also fitted with multi-collision braking assistance, so if the car is involved in a collision, the brakes are automatically applied to prevent a secondary accident.
