If comparison sites cannot locate your vehicle using its registration number, it may be because:
The car was only recently registered (often on delivery day) and hasn’t yet appeared in the national vehicle database.
The insurer’s system is not yet updated with your registration details.

The finance company (lessor) remains both the registered keeper and legal owner of the vehicle. That is why you do not receive a V5C logbook—the finance company retains it.
