Electric Van Leasing

Electric van leasing is fast becoming one of the most popular ways to drive an electric van. This is because it offers all the usual benefits of van leasing, but with all the advantages that electric vans are now bringing to the table. If you're after an electric van leasing deal, there's never been a better time to look into one.

Stable Vehicle Contracts offers a large selection of hybrid and all-electric van lease deals at competitive prices with free delivery included. We can offer in stock vehicles as well as tailored factory orders if you prefer.

Factory orders can be tailored to your individual specification and requirements, whilst in stock vans cannot. Usually, with in stock vans, there are different colours to choose from but the specification can’t be changed.

What is the difference between hybrid and all-electric vans?

Hybrid vehicles, also known as Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV), contain both an electric battery and a petrol or diesel engine. PHEVs have a small range on their battery, usually around 20-40 miles and will typically use these miles up before the petrol/diesel engine takes over after the battery is empty. PHEVs can only be charged via regenerative braking and being plugged into an external power source.

Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV) also contain both an electric battery and a petrol or diesel engine. What makes an HEV different is that an on-board intelligent computer alternates between battery power and fuel, in order to give your van the maximum economy rating. Typically, an HEV will start off using battery power but as the engine RPMs rise or the vehicle picks up speed, it will switch to a fuel source instead. HEVs cannot be charged via an external power source and rely on charging via regenerative braking.

All-electric vehicles are commonly called Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV). BEVs are fully electric vehicles that contain no gasoline engine and run only off rechargeable batteries. The battery power is used to run the engine as well as all onboard electronics. BEVs can only be charged via an external power source and typically require a certain amount of time to charge fully.

Why choose electric van leasing?

Electric van leasing makes sense if you are doing short to medium journeys daily. The costs you can save on fuel can really add up and you're helping to save the environment at the same time. As it stands, electric vans can be expensive, especially those with higher mileage batteries, but thanks to leasing the costs are minimal. Electric vans are just as good as fuel vans for carrying heavy tonnage. Some of the benefits of electric van leasing include:

  • Zero fuel costs which are more expensive overall
  • Tax incentives such as Benefit in Kind (BiK) and the plugin-grant
  • No risk of vehicle depreciation with leasing contracts
  • Both business and personal contracts available
  • Free UK delivery including Belfast Port
  • Easy to understand fixed monthly costs

Do your electric van leasing deals come with insurance?

Unfortunately, our electric van leasing deals do not come with included insurance. It's part of your own check to ensure that your vehicle is fully insured before you drive it, as is stated by law.

What happens at the end of the electric van lease agreement?

When your van lease agreement finally comes to an end, as specified by your contract, your van will simply be collected from your home free of charge. Think of it like giving the keys back to your landlord after moving out of your rented apartment. As long as the vehicle is returned in good condition and the mileage is under what was agreed at the start of the contract, you will not have to pay anything else.

If you need more information about what happens at the end of the contract and what condition your vehicle needs to be in, please read our end of lease agreement guide.
