Vehicle Delivery Checklist

Please read this carefully before your vehicle is delivered.

This checklist explains:

  • What you need to do before delivery
  • What to expect on the day
  • What to check when the vehicle arrives
  • What to do if there is a problem

Your vehicle will be delivered by either the supplying dealership or a third-party delivery company.


Before the Day of Delivery

Please make sure the following is completed before your vehicle arrives.

  • Insurance is active from the point of delivery
    The vehicle must be insured before it arrives.
  • You are available to accept delivery
    The person named on the order must be present.
  • Your phone is available
    The delivery driver will normally call around one hour before arrival.
  • You allow time to inspect the vehicle
    You will need a few minutes to check the vehicle before signing the delivery note.

Delivery Day

Vehicle deliveries are normally scheduled between 8:00am and 6:00pm.

Drivers usually call about one hour before arrival.

Sometimes the dealer can provide a rough time slot, but this is not always possible.

Please keep your phone available throughout the day.

The delivery driver may ask to see proof of identity before handing over the vehicle.


When the Vehicle Arrives

Before signing anything, take a few minutes to check the vehicle carefully.

Use the checklist below.

  • Check the vehicle registration matches your order
  • Check the vehicle colour
  • Check for any optional extras you ordered
  • Walk around the vehicle and check for scratches, dents or marks
  • Check the alloy wheels for any damage
  • Check the interior condition
  • Take photos of the vehicle including: Front, Rear, Both sides, Any marks or concerns
  • Make sure any issues are written on the delivery note

You will normally receive a copy of the delivery note from the driver.


Signing the Delivery Note

The driver will ask you to sign a handover or delivery note (often on a tablet).

Signing this confirms you have accepted the vehicle.

For this reason, it is important that any damage or issues are written on the delivery note before signing.


Poor Weather or Darkness

If the vehicle is delivered when it is too dark or the weather is poor:

  • Note this on the delivery note
  • Take photos where possible
  • Email us to let us know

Dealers usually allow some flexibility when visibility is poor.


If You Notice a Problem

If something does not look right:

  1. Call us immediately
  2. Take photos
  3. Make sure the issue is written on the delivery note

Do not leave the issue undocumented.

We will then speak with the supplying dealer and help resolve the problem.



Frequently Asked Questions

The person listed as the signatory will need to be present for the handover.

If you cannot be there for delivery, please ensure an authorised individual is present and understands the process required for delivery, as they will need to perform the checking of the vehicle in your stead.

This individual needs to be confirmed with us, with their name and driving licence being provided so we can let the dealer know.

As our deliveries are an all-day slot, you may not hear from the driver until the afternoon.

However, we do ask that if you don’t hear anything by about 4pm, please do give us a call and we can look into this for you.

The driver can usually wait for a short while.

However, anything too long may result in an aborted delivery, which will likely come at cost to you.

If you think you may be late, please let us or the driver know and we can go from there.

You can change your delivery address.

However, the timeframe in which you can do so depends on the distance between the current delivery address and the new one.

Anything within a short distance can usually be changed up until the day before.

Anything with a significant distance requires a 48-hour timeframe.

Please note that the delivery address can only be an address listed on your application (i.e. your work or home address).

All of our deliveries are driven deliveries as standard.

Any transported deliveries will come at a cost to you.

If you’d like to pay extra for a transporter, please contact a member of the team and we can request a non-obligation quote from the dealer.

Occasionally, there is a chance the vehicle may come on a transporter free of charge, however this cannot be requested or guaranteed.

The miles from delivery do not go towards your contracted annual mileage.

The driver will note this down at the point of handover, and this will be sent to the funder.

They will then deduct this from your mileage at the end of the lease.

We don’t send copies out to customers as standard.

However, if you would like a copy for your records, please reach out to a member of the team and they can assist.

This is dependent on the dealer, as some sites aren’t customer facing.

You can move the delivery date up to 48 hours before the confirmed date.

Anything after this timeframe may come at a cost, as it would be classed as an aborted delivery.

If you think you may need to move the date, please reach out to the team as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a timeframe for the day of delivery.

If your availability is limited, it may be better to move the delivery date to a day where you have more flexibility.

Please ensure you note on the handover sheet that you cannot fully check the vehicle due to poor visibility.

Check the vehicle as soon as possible once lighting improves (ideally the following morning) and contact us with any issues.

Unfortunately, problems can sometimes occur that result in deliveries being cancelled.
