This is being described by Volkswagen as a "major revision" with anticipated changes coming to the engine options, design and plenty of new technology. Expect new LED headlights, a new infotainment system and completely redesigned front and rear styling across the range. This means that the GTI, GTE, GTD and R models are all expected to get a refreshed look and feel in 2017. As for technology, we are likely to get a new infotainment system with gesture control technology to help reduce driver distraction. In keeping with the trends of Paris Motor Show, it's likely that new Volkswagen Golf will remove as many physical buttons from the car as possible by replacing them with gesture controls and a large touchscreen display. It's likely that, with Volkswagen's big push towards electric vehicles, there will also be a new hybrid option available on the new Golfs. We don't have long to wait, so we'll know more very soon!
