BMW Lease Frequently Asked Questions

Anyone can lease a BMW, provided they pass the required credit checks to be eligible and have a full UK driving licence. All of our BMW models require a credit check and we generally advise our customers to have a good credit history in order to have the best chance of passing. When it comes to personal contract hire, this is the best type of contract for those after a BMW lease for everyday use. Those who require a BMW lease for their business activities will need to look into business contract hire, as this suits individuals who need it for work.

Everyone knows someone who has always wanted to drive a BMW. They call it the "Ultimate Driving Machine" for a reason, as they offer superior performance and handling, as well as luxury and modern technology. Leasing a BMW can be appealing due to keeping your fixed monthly costs down and zero stress related to the deprecation of the vehicle. BMWs are renowned for their sporty character, offering a thrilling driving experience with precise handling and powerful engines. This focus on driving dynamics is a core part of the BMW brand identity. Leasing a new BMW grants access to their latest luxury features. This includes high-quality materials, innovative technology like gesture controls and advanced driver assistance systems, creating a comfortable and sophisticated driving environment. With a BMW lease, you're guaranteed to be behind the wheel of a brand-new BMW, and that gives you access to the newest tech. Potentially including features like self-driving assistance and top-of-the-line entertainment systems.

Our most popular BMW lease deals include cars like the 3 Series, which is BMW's best-selling car globally and is known for its exceptional handling, well-rounded performance, and luxurious interior. It's a popular choice for those seeking a sporty and refined saloon. The BMW X1 compact SUV is another extremely popular model. This is due to the fact it's the most affordable car in the BMW lineup of SUVs. It offers a good balance of performance, cargo space, and fuel efficiency, making it suitable for everyday driving and city commutes. The BMW X3 is a very good alternative to the X1 if you need more space and a bit more luxury on the interior. Although slightly more expensive, the X3 provides a more spacious and luxurious driving experience compared to the X1. It delivers a comfortable ride, ample cargo space, and a good selection of powerful engines. The mid-size BMW X5 is one of the most popular cars on the road in the UK, this is due to it being known for its blend of luxury, performance, and capability. It offers a spacious interior, advanced technology features, and powerful engine options, making it a popular choice for families and those seeking a luxurious SUV experience. And finally, one of our best sellers is the BMW 1 Series hatchback. More popular with young (and older) customers, the 1 Series is a fantastic hatchback known for its sporty handling and premium feel. It provides a good option for those seeking a fun-to-drive and practical entry point into the BMW brand.

Our BMW lease contracts are typically from 24, 36 and 48 months long. In other words, two, three or four-year contracts. More often than not, 48 months is typically the smallest monthly payment, as it's spread across a longer amount of time. But this is not always the case and sometimes deals can be cheaper on 24 or 36-month contracts. It's best to check every single option when customising your BMW lease contract, just to ensure you're getting the best deal for your budget.

As part of your contractual obligation, your vehicle will have to be serviced at a BMW dealership once per year or when your BMW tells you to have your vehicle booked in for a service (usually a message on your infotainment system). You can often include a maintenance package as part of your contract, meaning for a bit extra per month, your service fees are paid off monthly rather than in a lump sum once a year.

Stable Vehicle Contracts only offers brand new BMW vehicles when it comes to leasing, both personal and business contract hire. Some leasing companies do offer used leasing deals but unfortunately, we do not. However, this should not be a problem thanks to the affordable costs of leasing. If you're after an in-stock vehicle, as used vehicles often are, our in-stock section on our website shows you all the current BMW cars available with quick delivery.

Although BMW has some affordable models, typically they're not a brand you associate with being cheap. Having said that, the BMW 1 Series hatchback is commonly the most affordable entry point into driving a BMW. You can lease this model starting from around £240 per month. The next best accessible model would be the 2 Series. This model is available in both coupe and gran coupe variants. The 2 Series starts from around £400 per month. And finally, the entry-level BMW X1 SUV starts from around £450 per month. The quickest way to find the cheapest BMW lease deal we have is to scroll back to the top of this page and select your budget using the filter, or select the 'Price: Low to High' button on the right-hand side. Ultimately, BMW cars are luxurious machines that are at the forefront of cutting-edge technology. They are not cars someone would describe as cheap.

BMW are a premium German auto manufacturer, so if you are looking for another brand with a similar design ethos and style of driving there are a few notable examples to choose from. The closest to BMW's high quality would be Audi and Mercedes-Benz. Alternatives to those include Jaguar with their premium saloons and Land Rover who also offer very luxurious SUVs. You also have Lexus who earn a considerable share of the luxury and executive saloon, and the SUV market. Another choice is Porsche who are owned by Volkswagen Group. They are focused on creating memorable driving experiences similar to how BMW are with their own "Ultimate Driving Machines".

BMW is a luxury German auto manufacturer so they generally are not as affordable as some other brands. However, there are a few entry-level models available that don't break the bank and can get you into the driver's seat of a brand-new BMW. These are the BMW 1 Series hatchback which can be leased for around £240 per month. The 2 Series starts from around £400 per month. And finally, the entry-level BMW X1 SUV starts from around £450 per month.

These are common questions we get asked when someone is interested in our BMW lease deals. For example, a brand new BMW 3 Series Saloon '320d xDrive MHT M Sport 5dr Step Auto' is a vehicle you can lease through our website. Let us explain it. 320d refers to the engine size and fuel, with the 320 being a 2.0-litre engine and the 'd' referring to the fuel as diesel. Any BMW vehicle with 'i' in it is a petrol. So a 320i would be a 2.0 petrol engine. Any BMW vehicle with 'e' in it is a plug-in hybrid (PHEV). So a 330e would be a 2.0-litre PHEV. xDrive simply means all-wheel drive (AWD). MHT stands for Mild Hybrid Technology, which means the vehicle is equipped with a self-charging battery such as a 48 Volt model. MHT and PHEVs are different. PHEVs require charging with a separate cable but MHT self-charges itself when the BMW is running on fuel. And finally, Step simply means Steptronic transmission which can be switched between fully automatic and manual modes. If you see a BMW with Step in the name, it will be an automatic variant.

BMW cars are highly regarded as some of the best cars available on the roads, so it's no surprise that they constantly achieve high safety ratings from various institutions and are equipped with advanced safety features. Many BMW models receive the highest five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP, a leading European safety assessment program. This indicates a high level of occupant protection in crash tests. Most BMW models include technologies like Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Detection, and Adaptive Cruise Control that help prevent accidents by warning drivers and even taking partial control in critical situations. These models also include an automatic emergency call system that dials emergency services after a severe accident. You should always feel safe when driving a BMW, whichever model you choose to lease.

BMW has been expanding its range of electric vehicles (EVs) ever since the EV boom back in the late 2010s. Now BMW has several fantastic EVs available for you to lease. This includes the BMW iX, a luxury electric SUV known for its spacious interior, futuristic design, and powerful driving performance. The luxury executive BMW i4 gran coupe that offers a blend of sporty handling, a spacious interior with seating for five, and a range of up to 301 miles (WLTP). BMW offers three compact SUVs similar to the X range; these are the iX1, iX2 and iX3. These SUVs provide a balance of practicality, comfort, interior space and electric driving range. And finally, the BMW i7 is a luxury saloon that combines a spacious cabin with advanced technology features and a focus on passenger comfort.
